In the Autumn of 2012 members of the ‘Times Gone By’ reminiscence group embarked on a new project called ‘ Exploring Banbury Town’.
This project takes the form of an oral history sound trail. It contains a collection of stories of personal memories and experiences, giving a flavour of what life was like over five decades from the late 1920s to the late 1960s in Banbury.
As far as we are aware this is the first sound trail dedicated to capturing authentic voices of senior residents of the town. The group have now created 13 sound points and we are delighted that it is available for all Banbury visitors to experience.
