This has been a very difficult decision but after the latest government guidance Toms Diner feel it is the best thing to keep their staff and customers as safe as possible during this time.
All food is locally sourced with a field to fork approach and freshly prepared in our unique canal side setting. Build your own breakfasts, lunch on sandwiches, soups, burgers and hotdogs or indulge in homemade coffee and cake.
The diner is family friendly offering babychinos and our fab team can adapt the menu to create small portions for little appetites that suit all our mini visitors and their favourite dishes.
Lucy has had an interest in food from an early age, her Mum was a fantastic cook, and had a lot of family favourite recipes collected from time in America. Lucy has always had a connection with food- she ran a hospitality business while at University, catering for the bands and crew that played at Warwick University in the 1990s. Later, as a teacher, she ran lunchtime cookery clubs, and always cooked from scratch at home.
After finally taking plunge to leave her job as a school manager 3 years ago, she retrained as a vegan chef, working as a Development Chef for a company in the Cotswolds. She later worked freelance offering retreat catering, taught at various cookery schools including Neva Culinary Affairs in Banbury, and most recently as a Cafe Coordinator at The Pod in Coventry- an incredible melding of food and social activism.
Lucy says: Tom’s Diner will be a unique place to eat, in that it will be a business for good. Suppliers and partners are carefully chosen, either social enterprises such as New Ground Coffee, charitable organisations such as Frank Water, or B Corp Businesses who offer a new way of working in which business is a force for good.
