Pop Art Crafts

Drop in during the holidays and have a go at some of our pop art crafts. Get into the vibe and make a pop art coaster or bedroom door sign. Learn how to make party poppers or create your own comic book story.

Colourful Collage Workshop

Sunday 17th February

11:00 – 12:30

Local artist Nicky Jones will show you have to use bright Decopatch coloured papers to make patterns and pictures. Choose to decorate a pen pot, animal, letter or notebook.

Kate’s Storytree

Tuesday 19th February

10:00 – 11:00 or 11:30 – 12:30 or 14:00 – 15:00

Spend an hour with Kate as she tells stories that captivate and inspire, with a mixture of words, games, crafts and fun. Suitable for ages 18 months and over.

Brick Jam

Tuesday 19th February

10:30 – 12:30 or 14:00 – 16:00

Kids can come and let their imagination run wild playing with our collection of LEGO® & DUPLO® bricks. Parents can have a coffee, take a breather and watch a mess build that they won’t have to clear up! This is a very popular event which can be booked in advance at the museum desk, places limited.

Hedgehog Book Art

Wednesday 20th February

Led by expert Sarah Hogben, learn how to sculpt a book into cute hedgehog to display at home. Suitable for ages 8 and over.

Pottery Painting

Thursday 21st February

10:30 – 12:00 

Show off your creative side as you design and paint your own mug or animal decoration. Items will be fired after the event and available for collection two week after. Great fun to do and keep, and they make great gifts as well.

Parent & Child Soaps & Bath Bombs Workshop

Friday 22nd February

A wonderful activity to do together, using essential oils you’ll each create a soap and bath bomb – lovely to keep or give as gifts.
