A Scottish Surprise | Banbury Museum

Treasure Houses of the Tweed Valley

The River Tweed Valley is uniquely spectacular and yet often overlooked. A remarkable border county, there are outstanding historic houses and collections of paintings and works of art waiting to be discovered.

Join me in July 2019, when Banbury Museum will offer an exclusive tour to this special corner of the UK – Traquair, Paxton, Carolside Gardens and the fabled Mertoun (home to the Duke of Sutherland’s Collection) are just some of the highlights of the itinerary. We are very fortunate that this tour will be led by experienced specialist Tom Duncan of Ciceroni Travel, giving privileged access to the treasures to be found.

A Scottish Surprise been organised for the supporters of Banbury Museum by Ciceroni Travel. We will be staying in the comfortable 4* Dryburgh Abbey Hotel that adjoins medieval Dryburgh Abbey. A Scottish Surprise will benefit the Banbury Museum Trust, charity no: 1153109

This tour will explore one of Scotland’s most picturesque regions, I do hope you will consider joining me in July for an unforgettable Scottish summer.
